Thanks Amy for the welcome.
I had to double check which group I'm in. lol
I'm in FOUR now on WEGO.
Dystonia, Gastro, Chronic Pain and finally found the fibro group.

WEGO is where I find the most info. More than any other sites.

We started to put up our Christmas tree today. Because my husband is so busy with appts for my daughter and I. As well as working a full time job.
His only time to really help is on weekends. And there aren't that many until Christmas.
People are getting lots of gift certificates this year.

Thanks for the welcome, Amy! Great to connect with you here too. I hope others will introduce themselves to us, newbies in this discussion, as well. Connecting makes us all comfortable to share.

Have a good weekend with some laughter along the way!

Bless You, my friend!

I look forward to sharing with this group, as an activist and as someone who suffers from Chronic Pain predominantly due to Fibromyalgia. I just read Elaine and Jim's posts and want to be sure to welcome them to the group. I know we all benefit from the resources and input contributed by one another!

HI
I just joined this group. I was first introduced to the WEGO board by Beka through the Dystonia group. I am also a member of the Gastro group.
I look forward to getting to know other members. And to learn about pain management.

I have quite a few dxs. Most recently have been told by the Rheumatologist that I will very likely be receiving a Fibro dx.
If it is Fibro, I have a very severe case. I was not able to walk for some time and have been using a wheel chair. The pain has literally been crippling.

In the last few months I have been put on dilaudid for pain. MY GP just put me on the long term, long acting ones. I find they are helping.
I go to physio 2 x a week, which brings back more pain. But it's helping my mobility. It has given me enough strength to be able to walk short distances in my own house.

I don't really know what "pain management" is...so I figured it was time I learned. I find that too often I let myself suffer when I should have sought medical help.

Hello Everyone! I am new here and look forward to sharing, supporting and gain new friends and associates in the advocacy of Chronic Ilness/Chronic Pain.

I have System Lupus, moderate to severe arthritis, neuropathy in my arms, legs & feet, severe chronic back pain due to arthritis, degenerative joint disease & 4 Herniated Discs. I became disabled about 8 years ago and I'm still adjusting and in the process of accepting it all. I had a wonderful career in the hotel industry as a General Manager/Management Trainer as well as an Interfaith Minister. I will never be able to return to the careers I loved so much and that provided a good lifestyle for me, my family and those I love, but I continue to reinvent my life as a Disability Advocate, Chronic Illness Chronic Pain Counselor who also works with others who live with PTSD, Anxiety and Pain Disorders and Depression with the authority and support of appropriate medical treatment.

Well, that's enough about me. Now, let me hear from you. I just want to share myself as a means of getting to know others in mutual support and activism.

Have a wonder-filled day! You Are The Inspiration!

Hi,
I have recently been diagnosed w/ dystonia. I joined because the comment about pain being triggered by weather is so true. I have had this happen long before I got officially diagnosed

Does anyone else here find that weather - particularly barometric pressure flux - triggers bad pain days?

I'm sorry about your pain but I know how you feel but that would be the last thing I would want to do is to leave my family. That's all I have my husband and children and all of my grandchildren that I enjoy every day. I just take one day at a time.I lost my mom 2 yrs ago and my dad 10 years ago from cancer. So I saw what they went threw. It was hell. I wish I could of did more I did the best I can. My husband and I both had back surgerys and he had a heart attack. So that's why we love having our kids around and grandkids even though it is hard. So take care of yourself.
