Great info Sukh...yes, Zoie, I wrote a post about L-methylfolate, you can find it here; maybe that will help some, too.

zoie ..you asked about L-methyfolate. Its the natural form of Folate.
Folic Acid is probably what you must have heard.
L-methyfolate is the bioactive form of folic Acid. It is digested 7xfaster and easier by our system.
Green leafy veges is a good source for it too.

A few of you had mentioned starting conversations about information you learned in the high risk pregnancy groups. We know this is a complex issue, even for Health Activists, and we would love to hear how things are going. Feel free to leave a comment with information your communities have found helpful, or even links to discussions if you'd like input from other women who participated in the groups.

I am really happy tp say that I too have been talking around about L-methyfolate and that the ladies with higher BMI (with overweight problems) need to take more of folic Acid, to fulfill the requirements of their body.

I am excited to spread the word about L-methylfolate, too Christina! I look forward to hearing about what kind of a response you get when discussing with the patients.

I hope all is well with the high risk pregnancy group from last week.We have started talking about L-methofolate (probably spelled wrong) and hopefully our high risk moms will find it useful and inquire more about this amazing mineral so needed for high -risk moms.Good luck to all and will be bringing any new useful information for us all.Have a great holiday season all!!.

I HAVE SOME VERY HELPFUL WEBSITES FOR HIGH RISK PRGNANCIES. THEY ARE AS FOLLOWS: http://parenting.ivillage.com/, http://www.nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/highriskpregnancy.html. THEY HELPED ME TO UNDERSTAND WHAT EXACLY WAS GOING ON WITH MY BODY DURING PREGANACY AND THE SITES ARE VERY DETAILED ABOUT MY CONDITON. WHICH BETTER HELPED ME TO UNDERSTAND MY CONDITION. I LOVE THE INTERNET!
