Breathinstephen,
I love your blog! You are right. There just isn't much out there on the web about asthma from someone who lives with asthma daily. Being in the Boston Marathon is an amazing accomplishment. Best of luck to you!!
I hope you join us over at the Asthma and Allergy community. If you have any questions about the site or the community please don't hesitate to contact me.
Welcome to WEGO Health, Breathinstephen! I have to admit that when I first read "persistent asthmatic" I read it as "pessimist asthmatic," and I was really confused. Then I re-read it and see I just can't read sometimes!
I checked out your blog and think it's super cool that you've been granted a spot in the Boston Marathon! I've never actually ran a complete marathon but hope to run the Portland marathon next year! I am currently waiting for a hernia repair surgery so my training has been a wee bit delayed, but I'll pick back up soon enough!
I hope you find what you're looking for here at WEGO Health! If you ever have any questions, please feel free to drop me a line; I'd love to help out!
Be Well,
Sarah

Thanks everyone for the kind comments. Just an update.
On April 20th 2009, I walked my way into the record books by becoming the first person with documented severe lung disease, ever to finish the Boston marathon. It took me me 7.5 hours, but I did it. If I can, anyone can!
