I love trees too & was only sitting up in one the other week, though not very far as I didn't want to fall off. I tried to climb up it a bit & my body twisted into a bizarre position, of which I am sure no one without dystonia could do! Maybe we should all be acrobats? : )
Positivity is hard with this condition, but does help, as does anything you try that works for you. All the best to you.
I hope you are well and keeping your "roots grounded" !
Trying to keep mine grounded as well ...
although I must admit at this time it's getting harder by the day since I was told I have to wait until January 16TH for my next series of injections ! Shouldn't complain though there are so many people out there in much worse circumstances.
I would like to wish you a "Very Jolly Christmas" !
And may you have the happiest of new years !

I love nature!
I guess you can tell!
I believe there's so much one can learn from it!
Funny...but true...I remember after being diagnosed, I was sitting on a park bench in the summer just staring at all the trees, and thinking how majestic and huge they are in comparison to our bodies...and yet
they too can come down and become small once again!
I started comparing their branches to our bodies many connections...nerves...veins...transmittors etc...
There is something to be said about nature...
it...like many of us can become ill as well!
So I started posting tree pics on my page etc. etc.
And I do believe just like us...nature too can have Dystonic reactions!
I find a solace (peace & comfort) in trees...just goes to show...it doesn't matter how big and strong one is (like a tree) a big storm can come and take you down! Just like a huge tree!
I was diagnosed with Cervical Dystonia in 2006.
I find this site very helpful as I'm sure you will too!
It's like a home away from home...bringing comfort and hope to us all!

More about me (my health interests and reasons for joining WEGO Health)
I Have been diaganosed with Acute Onset torsion Secondary dystonia, I have it in my cervical spine, and also in my right hand affecting my pinky and finger by it, and also on my right foot it is alot of spasticty type. I have alot of movement on my left side, however some of the medice i take and also botox injections do help me. I try to keep a positive attitude ( That can be difficutl some days, Pain sure can do alot to want to bring a person down and so can feeling bad about ones self confidence. I try to stay active, I participate with several differnt groups that are adaptive for those with physical challenges.
Rember when every element is out of your control ,you can still manage your reaction. That quote is easier said than done at times. But just do not give up!
Bliss and Contentment ,
