We had been trying for 12 months for spontaneous conception. I convinced my husband to have his sperm tested and I also went to my ob/gyn to see if he would run some blood tests for me. My husband's sperm results came back and they were BAD. I had...

1. Visit at least 2 Reproductive Endo websites. See if you can download their questionnaire. Search their website to become familiar with the terminology they use.

I think TV viewing and video games can be both bad and good. My daughters watched the Einstein videos and their language skills were above those of their peers at various development milestones. I don't think the videos helped them, but I don't th...
When my husband and I were in the middle of our journey, it was my "fertile" friends who were most supportive. My friend Kelly (a friend since the 5th grade) would spend a lot of time with me on the phone listening to me cry. She never judged me a...
While I have not heard of C.A.H. I do think it is better when you know why you are having problem conceiving than "unexplained" infertility. With unexplained there is really never any answer when/if you have failed treatments.
Thanks for posting about the risk of infertility with the usage of SSRIs. You are correct in that most people associate infertility with a woman's disease, not men.
Lisa,
Thanks for your great post. I found most people were very supportive when I shared our story. I really didn't have too many negative comments. Most of the time I educated people what infertility is because they didn't really know. A friend o...
My husband and I were very open about our difficulties; our need to find the right doctor, the right treatment and the right decisions regarding them. My philosophy was that the more people who knew, the more information I would get and the less c...

Whenever I met a traditionalist and they have found out I used IVF to have my children they always say that I could have gotten pregnant with dietary changes. While I agree that diet and overall physical and mental health do play a part, sometimes...
While I didn't use it, I have heard that it works -- or at least can help. I think it is worth a try since it does help to re-balance your body in a way that modern medicine cannot. I had a medical issue and was able to resolve it on my own. I was...
The comments, while well meaning, tend to be hurtful. Hopefully more people will speak up like you have and then infertility won't be such a silent disease. Hopefully National Infertility Awareness Week will help a little!
If you have a specific topic to cover, then I would definitely encourage you to add a post or discussion to the Infertility group. We'd love to hear more of your thoughts - and folks are probably getting sick of hearing from me all the time ;)
Be well and talk soon,
Vanessa
