- I have found a lot of inner strength and courage over the years. I have to admit when I was first told I have tardive dyskinesia and it was minor muscle movement it was shock and I was angry for many years. Felt alone and found little support, and no one who could answer my question about what tardive dyskinesia was doing to my body why I kno loger had control. I was angry, felt sorry for myself, for may years. Now here it is 13 yrs later , I have returned to work force, working at Seagate as level1 tech troubleshooting internal/external drives, pain level is tolerable. I started seeing a rolfer about 3 yrs ago and still see him to this day once week. The rolfing manages my muscle spasms, contractions contortions. One day instead of looking at what didn't work which was most my body by this time I had progressed to generalized tardive dyskinesia/dystonia. I started concentrating on what I could still do what I enjoyed. One thing that I find that helps me is plenty of sleep, staying positive, try to eat right (most the time), and prayer.
I have beautiful granddaughter that is 8 months old and grandson that was born today.
