More about me (my health interests and reasons for joining WEGO Health)
My name is Lauren, and I am a 25 year old with an unusual collection of autoimmune diseases including arthritis, Autoimmune Pancreatitis, Autoimmune Hepatitis, and Sjogren’s Syndrome with neurological involvement. I’ve been learning to adapt to life in a wheelchair since my arthritis became to severe for me to stand. I am also an aspiring novelist who is working on three novels and an avid scrapbooker.
I also build social networks. I built Novel Patient Community (http://community.novelpatient.com) to provide patients with chronic illness a place to make friends, form groups, discuss issues, and most importantly express themselves in personalized blogs.
Hello All! First of all, I hope we can generate more activity here. There are so many of us with autoimmune diseases and I know how important receiving the support and comfort of friendships mean to us all.
I also hope that I may receive some ideas…

Hello everyone. We have a blog and website that focuses on mental health and survivors (in this case-we're using the term "survivors" as those who are left behind after losing a loved one to suicide.) We're also on twitter @onetosix. Looking forward…

HI LAUREN;
WOW, YOU ARE SO YOUNG TO BE IN A W/C. I AM ALSO DISABLED AND IN ONE TOO. I DO MY BEST TO GET AROUND THE HOUSE WITH A WALKER AND HAVE TO USE THE CHAIR TO GO OUTSIDE.
I ALSO HAVE A LOT OF AUTOIMMUNE DISEASE AND NEUROLOGICAL PROBLEMS.
I AM LEARNING TO SCRAPBOOK AND DO MUCH TO KEEP MYSELF SANE!!
I BELONG TO MANY GROUPS ON THE NET AND ONE I DECIDED TO DO IS TO ALSO PUT TWO ON HERE FOR IT IS ABOUT WHAT I DO AND REALLY.. I AM NOT A BLOGGER. SO I THOUGH IT WAS AS GOOD, IF NOT BETTER.
I POST MUCH INFORMATION AND HOPE THAT IT HELPS OTHERS. DROP IN AND TAKE A LOOK SOME DAY.
GREAT HAVING YOU AS A FRIEND. I HOPE WE KEEP IN TOUCH!
Hi Lauren, welcome to WEGO Health - we're so glad you are here! I'm just so sorry it's taken me so long to get to your page...
I see you've found your way thru the site and have already jumped in with both feet - fabulous! If you need anything, please be sure to let somebody know.
I see we have several things in common. I'm running a bit behind these last couple of weeks as a result, or I would have been here much sooner to welcome you. :) I did also try to join the novel group, but had some trouble. I'll try again later today and see if I can get thru it. Might have been related to our DSL being iffy the last week or two.
I see you've met Kristy. Angie is another absolutely amazing Health Activist you should meet. She has autoimmune issues with Lupus and is a very active Health Activist as well. Lisa Copen is another terrific Health Activist that is really out there working hard for patients.
Please let me know if there is ever anything I can do to help you out. That's why we're here!
Health Activists are like snowflakes - no two are alike, but look what they can do when they stick together!!
Hey you want to jump on novel chat? Just logged in, am about to get a cuppa so will be gone a few minutes, but if you log in, was about to have a break before doing some uni readings.
Yeah I have thought about combining it all, apparently I can add subdomains on my hosting, but not really sure how to go about getting my sites onto it.
Been a while hasn't it. How have you been since the treatment?
Yes I have been crazy busy setting up all the extra sites, it all does feel more complete now, hopefully will all be used which will make it worth it.
I have been on holidays (hence all the extra stuff I've been doing) but am back at uni now so will all have to slow down, good thing, I have alot of 'my sites' bookmarked now, craziness.
