Hi Stace,

I am having a colonoscopy under general anesthesia next week at the hospital. I think this is fairly common for those of us with dystonia because of the spasms. The spasms make it likely that we will jerk around during the procedure which could do damage in rare cases. I think being in the hospital is just a precaution.

hi stace..was reading your post about the feedback for the forun and saw that you just joined the group so thought i would welcome you..i joined a few months ago and of all the bb's and groups i belong to i have found this one to be the most educational..i think i have learned more about dystonia in the last few months than i have in the 22 years that i have had it!!..not sure what kind of dystonia you have but you will definitely learn
alot here..everyone is so willing to share their experiences and
beka is an amazing source of information..let alone an inspiration to all of us as to how she juggles her life as a icu nurse with dystonia and always coming up with great topics or answers to our quetions!!

looking forward to getting to know you better..karen..one of many ;0)
