Thorns,
This is all so great to hear. I have experinced so much of the same. So many doors have opened for me and I have also been forced to open doors that I wouldn't have otherwise. While I still beat on the door (or wall or whatever...lol) whe...
Tom,
Thank you for your help. I will call the road back or point of return to see if they have some ideas. I somehow knew that the detox process from the essential protein is making things worse. I just didn't expect something so vital and helpful to be so hard. I believe it is probably my answer though and will stick with it.
I feel for you and all of us as we walk out our healing. It is just a matter of time. We will be whole again.
Thanks again...

Tom,
Thank you so much for your input. I believe that the benzo withdrawal is the main thing although I have classic ssri discontinuation problems.
My holistic m.d did blood work and found that I have antibodies that are attacking my nervous system. In fact, my thyroid is in his words "100% not functioning"
He believes as do I that the ssri only compounded the damgage done from the ativan.
I am taking the road back program.....a supplement called essential protein.
I just started it several weeks ago. However it has made things worse even at 1/2 teaspoon....
Quality of sleep is much worse since I started it. I realize glutatione is so important, but I am not tolerating it well.
Thanks for your kind help.
Hi Tom,
I am a new member here. I have read your posts about withdrawing off of klonopin. My benzo withdrawal hell was from ativan ....also cold turkey.
That was in 2004 and I STILL have some side effects.
In fact the myoclonic jerks were so severe that I attempted suicide. At that point out of desperation, I started an antidepressant (4 years ago.) Since then I began to educate myself , do acupuncture, see a holistic m.d. and eat whole foods.
I am now withdrawing off the lexapro and am finding it as hard as the benzo withdrawal. Probably because of the previous damage. Lots of vertigo, ear ringing, jerks etc.etc
Would you mind sharing what supplements have helped you the most. I feel like I an missing something
Thank You so much
Nattyann
I wanted to take a moment and respond to you -- not through the thread concerning families. I am going through a difficult time (ss denial, foreclosure on my home, pipe bursting at said condo 12/24 flooding not only my condo but 3 others...) anyway, my point is thank you for the positive remarks. Today I especially needed some good news and your comments were extremely pertinent. I'm glad you are on the forum.
Take care and may you have a very blessed New Year,
Trudy
